Chris Arias

With a civil engineering degree and international experience spanning the Philippines, Singapore, Canada and New Zealand, Chris brings a valuable mix of global insight and practical experience to his role at GRIT.

Before shifting his focus to technical design, he worked in construction and project management on a wide range of builds - from hotels and schools to condos and auditoriums. As GRIT’s Senior Civil Structural Designer, he transforms engineering concepts into clear, buildable solutions through detailed drawings and 3D models, ensuring everything is accurate, safe and up to standard before it reaches site.

Chris believes the best outcomes come from simplicity, clarity and honest communication. He’s enjoyed stepping up into a leadership role - mentoring other designers, improving team outputs, and being part of a culture where ideas are shared freely and problems are tackled together.

Off the clock, you’ll find him detailing his car to showroom standard, lifting heavy at the gym, or winding down with a book - part productivity, part bedtime ritual.
