Peter van der Horst
Project Manager / Project Engineer
BE(Civil), CDL
Peter’s interest in civil engineering was sparked at age 15, when he worked on the Grafton Gully motorway upgrade. That initial spark turned into a civil engineering degree, followed by a career spanning major infrastructure projects across New Zealand, Australia and the UK.
Never one to sit still, Peter is driven to keep learning and progressing, and he has built up a broad range of experience across countries, industries and project scales. He views challenges as opportunities - a mindset that sees him embrace complex engineering problems and strive for optimum project outcomes.
Now in a dual role as Project Manager and Project Engineer, Peter enjoys contributing to a diverse range of projects in a multitude of ways. Whether he's dealing with box culverts in rural areas, or butterfly valves in wastewater treatment plants, he loves the variety of his work. And if there’s a constant he loves too, it’s being part of a team with shared purpose and passion.
Off the clock, you’ll find Peter sailing the Hauraki Gulf with his family, or out skiing, spearfishing or playing soccer.
