Rob Aubrey
Project Manager
BE (Civil); NZCE (Civil)
Rob went into civil engineering straight from school, gaining early experience on Northland roading projects before completing his degree. He’s since worked on major construction projects in NZ and the UK, including Wembley Stadium and the Channel Tunnel rail link.
Rob combines strong technical expertise with practical, safety-led delivery, and has successfully managed projects for clients across a range of sectors. As Project Manager and Civil Engineer at GRIT, he brings deep infrastructure knowledge and a calm, solutions-focused approach to his dual role.
He works well under pressure and enjoys solving complex problems - like designing the stormwater and sediment retention system for Golden Bay Cement’s tyre-derived fuel project - and builds strong relationships with clients, contractors and colleagues alike.
An active relaxer, Rob spends his downtime socialising, surfing, mountain biking, helping on the family farm or ticking off projects at home.
